Collectible Great Lakes freighter mirrors
In January of 2011 a fascinating bar mirror depicting the Edmund Fitzgerald was sold through our site, for $229.95 USD. Now, every Gordon Lightfoot fan or music fan over the age of 35 is familiar with the sad story of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald but that's not necessarily how the mirror originated.
This collection of bar mirrors was offered exclusively by Anheuser-Busch and created specifically for bars and patrons in the Great Lakes area; it included at least five in the series, commemorating great Great Lakes ships. While that may seem like a pretty weird series' feature (perhaps not when you consider the long history between sailors and bars) this makes a great piece for anyone who likes beer and remembers the great song by Mr. Lightfoot.
